       TMZ has just reported that Ed
Conrad has been declared LEGALLY
INSANE and is now shackled and
on a bus heading to the Off Your
Rocker Mental Institution in Mudville,
KS.
<
       The really good news, though,
is that the Institution -- no relation
to the Smithsonian -- does not permit
fruitcakes to use computers in their
padded cells.
<
     It means you'll no longer be able
to read new posts from Ed, known
in scientific and conspiratorial circles
as The Ignorant Bastard (and quite
often  a whole lot worse).
<
      An archive of literally millions
of Ed's postings can be viewed by
going to alt.fan.ed-conrad or, even
better, dc.smithsonian.
<
     Meanwhile, rumors persist that
the Smithsonian plans to dig another
dungeon to bury Ed's mind-blowing
fossils and as many of his postings
that it can get its dirty hands on.

    We'd also like to add that Ed's
Web pages will soon be removed,
so you'd better have one last look
right now.
