I started using Teranews when Bellsouth dumped our email on Yahoo, and Yahoo won't support news groups. Teranews is free, but they only let you make a few posts at a time and then they start telling you they have been rejected by the post filter or some such thing. Yesterday the latest Windows Update was downloaded and installed on my computer. Since then, I cannot get online using my Netscape server. I get a message saying "Status: 513 Misconfigured Proxy Route Cache- Control: no-cache Pragma: no-cache Connection: close Content-Type: text/html ** ". I use netscape 4.6. ok I know its old but i like it, is there any way to open yenc files from newsgroups with Netscape 4.6. Ps I bet ralph fox knows the answer. regards stewart.

I used to use news.tesco.net but I no longer do. If I remove it with 'right-click delete selection' it comes back again unbidden. If I delete the directory C:\Program Files\Netscape\Users\peter_per cival\News\host-news.tesco.net it comes back again unbidden. AT&T sux, in part because they just canceled news group service. I don't know how much they reduced our rates because of that huge reduction in service, but it's not worth the pain in the ass to me.
