The truth about ANTOINETTE NORA CLAYPOOLE

and it's getting wider by the day. Type in her name on a Google
search, and you'll find that there are several web sites currently
exposing her ugly deviousness, betrayals, lies, arrogance, temper
tantrums, and other abuses of Indian people. (More and more such web
sites will be appearing, absolutely guaranteed.)
Background: This is a white woman in her fifties, who feels
intellectually superior to Indian people. Especially Indian women,
whom she openly belittles both in public and in private-- but she has
no compunction about attacking Indian MEN either-- as is shown by her
recent posts here.
Antoinette Claypool's belief in her own superiority over Native
American People is the main thing that you must know about her today.
Claypoole is trying to make a living by writing about Indian people,
the more famous they are, the better. If she happens to shit on them
in the process... well, that's just a battle casualty. For instance,
a while back, she wrote a book about Al Smith, the Klamath Indian
whose court case against the state of Oregon resulted in the passage
of the Indian Religious Freedom Act. Claypoole interviewed Al and his
wife over a period of time. When they were allowed to read the draft
of the book that she wrote, it contained so many erroneous statements
and badly written passages that they were horrified and she was asked
to change them. But, Claypoole ignored the family's requests and
plowed on ahead, saying what she damned well pleased in that book--
rotten lies and all. To this day, the Smith family cannot bear to
hear this woman's name spoken in their home.
And now she wants to write about our beloved Anna Mae….? What similar
tortures must Anna Mae's family go through? Whatever Claypoole
writes, if she ever does, you can be sure that the paper it's written
on won't be worth wiping your ass with; the woman knows NOTHING about
Anna Mae, OR her family, and doesn't give a DAMN about ANY of them,
even Anna Mae. Claypoole only cares about Claypoole and what
Claypoole can get, and how big and important and superior it makes her
look.
Claypoole is an egotist of the highest degree. She is Hell-bent on a
single course of action, that being to build her "fame and reputation"
at all costs-- through writing about us Indians. The only problem is,
she has found only failure, not only because of her lack of decent
writing aptitude, but because her writing styles, her views, her
arrogance, and her abuse of Indian people really turn people off.
Claypoole hasn't sold anything in a long, looooong time. She's
hungry. Her ego is suffering. She's pissed off. She blames us for
her failures. So now, in desperation she has decided to resort to
bullying, lying, blackmailing, backstabbing, stealing, cajoling, and
any other devious and ugly tactic in order to see her words get in
print. Claypoole believes that seeing her own words in print or
online, no matter the pretenses under how they got there, is a sure
sign of her WORLDY, SUPERIOR SUCCESS. She doesn't give a shit who she
steps on in the process.
Claypoole is at least predictable: cold hearted, treacherous, and
revengeful against those who don't give in to her DEMANDS to publish
her stuff on THEIR web sites. She has a definite problem with anger
management, and being a loose cannon doesn't seem to bother HER a bit;
she cares not that she is making countless Native American enemies all
over the internet with her nasty, lashing tongue and her unfair
backstabbing tactics. Her sense of superiority overrides any
thoughtfulness as she plows on ahead, trampling everyone in her path
in her driven quest to see her words "in print."
I see that Claypoole is claiming that SHE removed her stuff from the
Two Beads Worth. Lies, I went and looked for myself. It was taken
off by the web master, who obviously just got plain tired of being
bullied by Claypoole and her mean and nasty demands to print her
crappy stuff.
Claypoole likes to play both sides of the fence with Indian people
too. On one hand, she bad-mouths Indigenous Women for Justice on
alt.native, then a few days later she goes and posts a sickeningly
"sweet" note in the Pictou family's guest book… Oh yeah, like THAT's
going to go unnoticed? Now that's exactly what I'm saying here-- she
thinks we're all so goddamned stupid that we can't figure out her
bullshit.
(Claypoole also enjoys pursuing married Indian men, but that's another
story for another day.)
It's really rather sad when you think about it. Here's an older,
obviously angry, friendless and lonely woman who doesn't even know how
to build her own website, and can't afford to pay someone to do it.
(Or maybe no one WANTS to do it.) Wow, that must be just terrible, no
website of her own where she can put her name up herself and jump
around for the world to see and admire her GREATNESS, her SUPERIORITY,
her INTELLECT, her EXQUISITE WRITING TALENT… Blah, blah, blah.
No, there's no web site for poor Antoinette Nora Claypoole, so she
must bully and threaten and plead with Indian people to get her crappy
words up on THEIR sites. It seems that she doesn't feel that she, or
her words, are VALIDATED unless they appear on a "real live Indian's"
site.
There's some private Indian lists that Claypoole can't get into. Not
allowed. Not invited. So what does she do? She connives and cons a
member into posting her shit on that list. Then stabs him in the back
for his trouble. Goes all over the place lying about him.
But, luckily, it's occurring with more frequency that we Indian people
are getting wise to her. Lately, she's been rebuffed QUITE A FEW
TIMES. And every time, without fail, she has gone on the attack,
blaming the INDIAN PERSON, demanding her "rights," and eventually,
resorting to cheap name calling and other personal put-downs. Yeah,
leaving slime trails all over the internet…
This woman's sense of superiority over Indian people is now being put

Just for starters, Peter Matheissen and Joanna Brand(1978) had been
putting out the story 20-25 years ago. And, the Pictou daughters and family
I am sure would have pursued it with or without the secondaries. And a lot
of other people have been writing and investigating it tangentially.
