Um ... not really. In fact, the Apalaches were the original
inhabitants of Florida until the Creeks, allied with escaped black
slaves from Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia, attacked and
exterminated the Apalaches during the 1700's. The Creek/Black
conglomeration then became the "Seminoles".

Some of the Apalaches managed to escape to Louisiana where their
descendants still abide today, but they were never granted reservation
status by the US government. Nor do they own any casinos. Oh well.
That doesn't matter. They're not Politically Correct, after all, as
are the Seminoles.

Not all the Seminoles were displaced and some of them still live in
Florida, making lots of money running casinos that rip off white
gamblers with fake jackpots.

I have not met a poor Seminole yet.

Maybe a few who graduated the school (yuk, yuk) but not one native American.

They are the Cadillac of the Indians nations. Very smart, ambitious and a
pleasure to deal with.
