The latest Artist Shop Newsletter includes info on new releases from
Geoff Downes, Billy Sherwood and Rick Wakeman. If anyone wants to
check it out, you'll find the newsletter in its entirety at
<http://www.artist-shop.com/news.htm>.
Also mentioned in the newsletter is a relatively new label called
Audio Fidelity that is specializing in SACD releases. In their
catalog/promotional information they include a list of artists for
future SACD releases. And YES happened to be on that list. I asked
the fellow who runs the label what exactly they were planning on
releasing by Yes on SACD, but unfortunately he said he wasn't at
liberty to tell me just yet :-(

Interesting, as up to now, all Yes multichannel releases have been in DVD-A
or other DVD formats. SACD does seem to be gaining momentum with the Stones
and Dylan catalogs coming out on SACD.
I can only say that lately I've seen more SACD releases than DVD-A. I
think part of it may be that it's a less expensive format. Many
titles I've seen are in the same ballpark as regular CD releases.

It's not due to prices. SACD releases have been outnumbering DVD-A
releases all along, and prices ahave been roughly similar all along.
DVD-As sometimes take longer to prepare because
they generally include some visual content.

Could also have to do with the fact that SACD is impossible to copy on
consumer equipment.
