I'm looking for information on where to get music to suit an age group of
14 to 25 yr olds. It must be "Dance, Techno, Pop, Rock, Latin, Reggae, etc."
from around the world. I need sources on where to get it, as well as
artist names, song titles, compilation titles, music charts from around
the world...anything to help make this thing fly!! It's a worth while group!
Thanx in advance and...
keep on dancin'

Hi there.
There is an absolutly fantastic singer from Zimbabwe by the name of
Thomas Mapfumo. He is part of the 'electric village' movement, taking the
sounds and structures of his native mbira and kalimba ensembles and puts
them on electric guitar, drumset, bass etc. It's very dancable and
kind of mellow at the same time- great stuff! The two albums which I'm
very familiar with are 'Hondo' and 'Chamunorwa'. I like the second one
better, I am pretty sure that they are under the 'Mango' record label.
Also, may I reccomend a personal favorite - Paul Simon! His 'Graceland'
and 'The Rhythm of the Saints' are very dancable and very both African
and Brazilian. It's great- trust me...
