The track is 5:15 long... I rather like it. It ends in a blast of
white
noise that makes it sound like you're lost in an emotional blizzard.
For those who didn't catch it on the airwaves, I've posted an MP3 file
(6.2
MB):

Hey, we're all going to buy the record as soon as it comes out
anyway...
Enjoy!

Listening to it now. Thanks, Dave.
More about it later.

Killer tune!
One thing I notice about it is the excellent choice of sounds and
textures. Maybe Wilco has taken a bit of a que from Radiohead?
I am just blown away.

Says you. The more I listen to it, the more I kinda like it.

Like I said earlier, it has to be put in context with the rest of
the disc. I can't judge any CD on just one song.
Ditto/what he said about context. I'm sure Bob Dylan sounds
'poor' next to Steely Dan and Foreigner, eh?

That's all I kept thinking of after hearing Poor Places the first
time. Sums it up rather nicely, I thought . . . I definitely think
the song's a keeper.
