I've listened to it a few times, and it sounded familiar but I couldn't
pinpoint it. It could just be someone trying to emulate Vangelis, or from
one some of the bootleg albums I don't have...

There's still a few of those elusive legendary V titles I don't have.

You know what? Let's ask Dennis. :-)

Good idea... Dennis?

I was about to send him a mail, but he might be lurking. He's just devious
and cunning like that! ;-)

He already answered. He doesn't think it's genuine Vangelis stuff. So there
you go.

I don't know who/what else it could be, though.

I guess we could always try asking the person who posted the video...

He's very sure it's not Vangelis. And he's not devious!

Cheers Dennis. Interesting... the musical style imitates Vangelis, and the
samples refer to the NASA Ames research centre, which I believe has a centre
for Mars exploration, leading me think of Mythodea. It's certainly a well
thought out hoax. I can't see the original poster helping us out though,
because he won't want to admit that he's a faker...

Actually, I sent the person asked him[/her/it] about what music he used, and
FWIW this was in his response:

the Sushi Club - Neo Sashimi
8. Daini no sekai

(There seems to be info missing, in which case we should blame YouTube.)

Yeah! Let's burn the YouTube embassy...

That'd be this then...

Unfortunately you can't listen to samples.

Its a good attempt but I doubt that it is the real opening for the final
cut.

I think if you look closely, the New American dictionary reference is dated
2016.

And it sounds nothing like anything on Mythodea and its not really that
Vangelis-like. More Hans Zimmerman...

To quote another film starring Harrison Ford "Nice try, Lao Che!"
