Heard Angelic a while back, I'm not usually into melodic trance but it was
just so amazing, nice and emotional. But now they have slapped a vocal on
it, no doubt to increase it's commercial appeal. Really pisses me off that
does, I doubt I will ever get to hear the dub played again. Anyways, I
plucked these few out as well, top tunes all of them. Bit of a strange
selection for me but I liked them anyway. (In no particular order)

LEXY & K-PAUL - "THE GREATEST DJ" (LOW SENSE)
Top tune, I know nothing about it but it's still quality.

ANTIC - PULSE (WHITE LABEL)
Been knocking about since May but still top quality.

AZZIDO DA BASS - "DOOMSNIGHT" [TIMO MAAS REMIX] (CLUB TOOLS)
I guess you all know this by now, Mr Maas can do no wrong, he's down at
Elements soon, should be good.

ORBITAL - "WAY OUT>" (FFRR)
Nice tune from Orbital, can't believe these guy's are still going strong
after all this time!

OLIVER LEIB - "SUBRAUM STIMULATION" (WHITE LABEL)
Pure Lieb, and totally excellent as a result.

NATIOUS - "FLASHPOINT" [CHRISTIAN WEST REMIX] (AMATO)
Follow up to Amber and IMO it's just as good. Mr West does a great remix.

MYTHOS & DJ COSMO - "SEND ME AN ANGEL" [TANDU MIX] (UNSUBMISSIVE)
Starts well but then has an annoying vocal, still like it though.

Just thought I would share 8 tunes I like with you!

Chris.

I'm not sure which choon you are on about, but I keep hearing one by Angelic
called "Angelic" and it rocks! It is a bit like a mild Rank 1/Airwave.

Yep, the dub was entitled Angelic but now they have slapped a out of time
vocal on it they have called it "It's My Turn".

Anyone noticed the first few bars of angelic sound just like binary finary -
1998? just thought i'd point that out
and where do i recognise John flemmings lost in emotion from - i'm sure i
had heard it b4 that version... anyway it is an awesome tune.. particularly
the angelic 'vocal' mix which contains NO vocals!

oh well

I though it sounded like Binary Finary 1998! (Not the PVD mix)
Angelic is one of the best trax around! "It's my turn" shows a different
side to the track... a more commercial sound/appeal.

enough (bog standard rip off cheese trance - my thing 6months ago) the vocal
mix is AWFUL!!! face it people, the future is in the breaks. hybrid and bt's
runnin down the way up is unbelievable - breaks, trance, vocals and folk
guitar ... the whole bt album is AMAZING!!!
every review of the Y3K album (breakbeat album - looks cool) has mentioned
this track as outstanding. I URGE you to but Movement in Still Life by BT-
album of the year already??? maybe!
anyway, thats enough for now

One thing bugging me here, yes Y3K is superb and a great idea in
compilations (tracks made specifically for it) and yes, I do have Movement
In Still Life and that is also tops, but you say "the future is breaks".
True maybe, but I listen to music I love, and I have no control over what
songs give me that funny feeling. What I'm saying is, I'm not going to jump
on any bandwagon to keep "in with the crowd" etc, something about Angelic
(Dub Version) really hit me and I have no control over that. I love certain
tunes because I do, not because I want to look cool etc. Yes all this
breakbeat stuff coing through is superb, one of my favourite mixes happens
to be Lee Burridge's "Deeper Breaks" on Hooj. But all I'm saying is that if
I love a tune that happens to be "melodic" or "cheese" then I will stand by
that tune, even if it means the occasional drilling by folks like you.

Chris.

TUNE~ Oliver Lieb - Substraumstimulation.

ok sorry i was way harsh about all this
what i was meaning to say is that whilst there is still a lot of awesome
four to the floor (sorry :) ) trance around, sometimes it just gets a little
boring when every other track jules plays sounds the same
i would probably have loved angelic a month or so ago but it has all been
done before - although next time i hear it i'll probably completely change
my mind bout it ! anyway, for the moment break beat trance provides a
refreshing alternative (although maybe i''m just sayin that cos i *worship*
BT) although doubtless if and when that becomes mainstream it will become
just the same and something else will come along
anyway, lookin at your first post it seems u arent into cheese really so
i'll let you off !
thanx

Here, here, that's my belief too! Nice to hear some one else say it.

I don't care what people say about this tune - it is a masterpiece. I
know most agree with me, but during my LONG passion for Trance music,
this is one of the best tracks i have EVER heard. It really hits you.
The vocals do take it's innocense away slightly but who cares? Anybody
know of a release date for this?

Has anyone else heard or have REXANTHONY: POLARIS DREAMS - If so please
let me know as i have searched for this for many years with no success.
Cheers!

Tune of the moment: Delerium: Heaven's Earth (Matt Darey mix)

Sounds just like Binary Finay, I know!
I thought it was a new mix of B.F. when I first heard it on Jules!
