Just bought Movements In Still Life and it's unbelievable, not quite as good
as ESCM but still amazing.
Anyone know any other future releases BT has lined up?

Agreed.

I think Movement in Still Life is a more educated album and for that reason
is slightly better than ESCM but they are both absolutely stunning musical
masterpieces.

Just to add some spice to the thread. I think BT has gone downhill over the
last few years and that MISL is forgettable. The hip-hop stuff is yucky and his
last few "trancey" releases like Deraming and Mercury and Solace have been of
the catchy-but-easy-to-get-sick-of variety.

I think BT's scoring another film! I'm not sure about this, but I think I
heard or read that somewhere. Otherwise, there was talk in this group a
little while about antoher album, maybe a link-up with Sasha in some way
shape or form as well, I think that was mentioned.
And yes, MISL is possibly the most diverse CD I've heard. Wasn't too keen on
the first half or so at first, but it's grown on me and I love it. The bonus
CD (if you've got the Limited Edition UK release) is pretty good as well.
Some nice remixes.

Well 'Flesh' is due out next month!

Although it was written by BT, I'm not to sure whether his is credited in
the title. It seems that only Jan Johnston (the singer) is given a
namecheck!

Shockingly, I agree with Doug almost 100%. I do really like the Libra
mix of Dreaming, but the other mixes and Mercury & Solace are pretty
dull

Anyone know what mixes will be coming with this? Flesh I mean of course!
About time it was released as far as I'm concerned. Means I can finally get
my hands on a copy.
I've never actually known the proper name though. If it's Jan Johston-Flesh,
or BT Featuring Jan Johnston-Flesh.

According to dotmusic its "Jan Johnson - Flesh" with mixes provided by DJ
Tiesto & Tilt (to be released on Perfecto).

Interesting. I think I'm beginning to recgonise the merits of soundtracks
suddenly.
I might see if I can get the film just to see Katie Holmes actually... :o)

This cross-genre style amazes me. Is there anyone else with the sort of

Working in a movie theatre I can say that it's official that BT composed the
soundtrack to the movie The Fast and The Furious. It says that right on the
poster for it.

I disagree about your comment regarding the hip-hop stuff. I went to see him
play live back in 1997 and he was dropping very similar sounding tracks
which worked amazingly live.....I think most of his breakbeat/hip hop work
is superb and sits along nicely with his more trancey stuff.....

As we're talking about BT's film scores, what was the soundtrack to Go like?
The stuff we'd expect? Even though we don't really know what to expect from
him?!

Is Jan Johnston on Perfecto then?
I remember a conversation in here about BT and Perfecto, and how he left.
Funny how his work is getting released on Perfecto. Well, it is essentially
his work. No disrespect to Jan Johnston, great vocals consistantly, but
shouldn't BT get some credit?

I was talking to someone I know about BT a couple of weeks ago, and this
came up:
Does BT actally DJ in his sets or does he play his own records? I saw a bit
of the Homelands coverage last year on Channel 4 and saw him playing Flaming
june (with a lot of jumping about!) surrounded by a load of keyboards and
equipment, but my mate said he DJs as well.
So, does he play his records live, does he DJ/mix, or does he do both?

I don't think I've ever seen him DJ, and I'm fairly sure he's said before
he's been puzzled by placement in 'top 100 DJ' type things since he's never
DJ'd

No, he doesn't Dj as far as I am aware. He produces and plays his own music
'live'. And yes - there's always a lot of jumping around when he takes to
the stage - he's a nutter - but a genius!

The hip hop that BT does on the album is quite good I think. It's nothing like
the "Shake your ass watch yourself" type rap song there are actually variations
in the hip hop songs. But of course this is just my opinion. Or it could just
mean that BT LIKES some Hip Hop and wants to do what he wants to do.
