Whether this belongs here or elsewhere I don't know, but, I recently bought
the latest album by BT, and thought at first that it wasn't as good as ESCM.
The first four tracks put me off somewhat. But after those, the album is
excellent! I love it, especially track 5 - Mercury and Solace and track 11 -
Satellite. Satellite is my fav song atm! I love it!

Anyway, was just after other peoples impressions on it! For those who
haven't got it yet, the albums called Movement In Still Life :-) And it
rocks loads :-)

P.S. Don't email me personally, post back to the news group.. Ta muchly!

Same here mate - Listened to the first few tracks and thought he had gone
off his head! However the rest of the album does rock - typical BT!

Ditto as the rest of you.

Each album he's gone have got progressivly weirder, but I liked the track
which him and PvD did, and a couple of the other ones... Weirder than ESCM,
but still cool.

What about the space brothers album?? A real let down, thank god for the
oakenfold dj-mix cd which features some cool remixes....

As a totally devoted lover of BT's music I can't wait to get my hands on
that new album.

Just one question though, should I go for the vinyl LP or the CD?

His last album sounded incredible on CD, a real digital masterpiece, but I'm
tempted for a change.

Hmmmm......

I can't believe that all of you don't like the first few tracks on Movement
in Still Life!. I don't think he'st gone off his head at all, he's always
been experimental with his music right from the start. (Even if he has gone
mad the end product - the album is a gem!) Proof of his diversity is why you
get a track like 'Hip Hop Phenomenum' alongside the utterly beautiful
'Satellite'. Think about 'Blue Skies'. when i first heard that I thought
that BT had stopped making dance based tracks, it being very guitar based.

I was lucky enough to see him live a few years ago and he was playing mad
breakbeat/hip hop tracks like Madskills even then. He drove the crowd wild!
The album is one of the best i've ever bought and he truely pushes the
boundary of the genre 'dance music'.'Movement In still Life' is a meeting
of some of the greatest minds in dance at the monment (hybrid, sasha &
digweed etc). The man is exceptionally talented

I have been listening to the album even more recently... Since I have now
mp3'd it, I've been listening to while I work at the old computer :-) I am
still not too kean on the first few tracks. Yeah I know it's different...
But it just doesn't appeal to me!

Everyone's entitled to their own opinion... I'd love to see him play live!
I've never been to a proper live set! Always bought the CD's... Ahh well,
some day *grin*

No, don't get me wrong...i'm not knocking you beacuse you don't like the
first few tracks. Of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion...

I feel the album 'flows' very well...there is never too much
breakbeat/trance or quieter moments...a perfect blend. Apparently Sasha has
told Brian Transeau that he thinks it is the best album of the year. (Well,
I suppose he would be a little biased seeing as he has a helping hand on
it!!!).

I know BT's live appearances can be very rare, if he does do a 'tour' to
coincide with the 'Movement In Still Life' album I would definately
recommend that you get tickets!

:)
