Yep. Don't buy too many colors at first. Experiment with just a few colors
to get a feel for mixing. It's hard to resist buying a lot of exotic shades
when you start out, but you'll be better off with a palette of 6 to 12
colors at the beginning. Make your own color wheel. And buy cheap paper at
the beginning; it will be a lot more affordable to experiment this way.

You won't need too many brushes at first either, but especially with
watercolors, it is important to get a few good-quality brushes. Can't help
you much with oil painting, but if you have any specific questions about
watercolors, send me an e-mail, I'll tell you whatever I can.

Upon arriving in South America in the late 70's I met a young village girl
named Esther who was a fantastic painter. Before this day Radioethiopia
wasn't much into painting. However, just the very presence of an amazing
painter is enough to inspire even the most left brained human...

Radioethiopia sticks with straight acrylics, He finds there is a greater
range of texture to create. "Don't let your eyes become bigger then your
art", she always told him. It was a shame she died of cholera because there
was a certainty amongst villagers that she was the next Frida Callo.

Remember how fun it was to make shit outta big empty boxes? Like forts and
stuff? The box to the new fridge was the best toy I ever had until my
bastard
of a father taped me in it overnight.
