Wait a minute. Now that I think of it, I think I heard it was 100% uncut
Colombian cocaine. The people in the first couple rows at Chicago sure did
look messed up...

I heard it was a dry ice maker underneath the small box stage, with
small holes in the floor so that when he stomps like a madman it seeps
through it into the air, thats just what i heard though....

Elvis was there Saturday and Monday (BIG recognition, lot of applause upon
his entrance)....Monday also had Keith Richards, Willem Defoe, Carol Kane
(also there Sat.) Vincent Gallo, and that guy that was Murphy Brown's
painter........Its always great to see which stars are interesting enough to
appreciate Tom.......Tom had Marc Ribot and John Hammond performing a few
songs with him monday night.....While Sokey is a great guitar player hearing
Ribot on the same stage showed me how much soul he has in his guitar......

I assumed it was talcum powder when I was him in Oakland because of the
odor.

Actually as far as I could tell from my awsome seats in Florence, it was
one of those shuffle boxes that tap dancers use. I believe it was
miked, too. What it is is a shallow hollow box with sand on the top.
If you listened it added a percussive element and a sort of shuffling
shim sham to his frankenstein meets revivalist preacher stage
presssence. I thought it was truly a brilliant prop/instrument. The
man is amazing, I can die happy after seeing that. I would kill to have
a bootleg of that concert. Worth every penny.

I can verify that Andrea Martin from SCTV was there on Thursday; my friends and
I sold our extra ticket to her. Entirely random - walking to the Beacon after
dinner, about a block from the theatre, she happened to be walking next to us,
and asked if we had an extra ticket. Once we realized who she was, there was no
question that the scalpers weren't getting that ticket...<<Thursday night:
