ALL TEXAN MUSIC is a NEW CONCEPT AND NEW LABEL.
We believe that Commercial Terrestrial Radio has KILLED radio in the USA,
and hard facts show that CD sales are in hard decline World-Wide. We are in
complete support of Satellite Radio and Internet Radio as they tend to
support everything NOT in sickening rotation from Clear Channel. We are
creating this label to SPECIFICALLY offer MP3 format songs, albums and
PODCASTS from artists based in TEXAS!
This is for all genres of MUSIC - Classical, Choral, Symphonic, Jazz,
Country, Texas Red Dirt, Rock, Metal, Punk, Garage, Classic Rock,
Progressive Rock, Blues, Pop, Folk, Avant-Garde, Experimental, Ambient,
Electronica, Opera, Spiritual, Christian, and more. This label is meant to
SPECIFICALLY get Texas music overseas, to Europe, Japan and elsewhere, where
TEXAS music is at an all-time high in popularity. It is also a means for
Texas artists with existing label affiliations to have another means of
distribution, which does not conflict with their label.

I am a performing musician. I may or may not have other label affiliations.
How can I get details on artist-label arrangements?
Most importantly, ALL TEXAN MUSIC is simply ANOTHER MEANS OF DISTRIBUTION
for musicians, whether you are an unknown performer, or have a stack of
Grammys and major label support.
ALL TEXAN MUSIC is a service run BY musicians, FOR musicians. We know the
drill, and know how musicians are often screwed over by labels and services
which sell recorded audio material. ATM wants to be different, we want to be
known for having the best interests of all musicians as the basis of this
"label". Each month, we send each artist information about how many sales
they have had (other than zero sales), and we are currently working on an
automated method to notify artists "instantly" every time a song or album is
sold.
ATM offers artists a standard of 80% of the Net of each song or album sold.
We offer non-exclusive arrangements with all artists, it's fine by us if you
sell your music with other labels and services. Of course, your material
will need to be approved by ATM before we release it.
We can offer payment each month on your sales by issue of a check, or send
you payment direct to you (your account etc) via PayPal. Most musicians like
PayPal as a paperless solution (nothing to get lost in the mail) as Paypal
is very good about showing a history of payments with detailed info. Of
course, we only send payments to those artists whose recordings have been
sold each month.
We know many MP3 files sound hollow and tinny, we have a special mastering
process to make MP3 files sound as good as the CD! We can accept your
material already in MP3 format, but we will reject the material if the MP3
files sound awful. We expect CD-quality-clarity from our MP3 files.
To submit your material, first please contact us by email to let us know you
are sending us your material. Please send us your store-ready CD, a 20-30
second sample of each song in WAV/AIFF format, and "cover art" in digital
format, by postal mail. We require ALL of those materials to put your music
online. We prefer that YOU provide "your cut" or your choice of sample clip
per song.
If you do not have, and cannot make, 20-30 second samples of each song, we
can do this for you. As a professional recording/mastering company, we will
convert and re-master your CD (and create song samples) to great-sounding
MP3's at the rate of $50 an hour (about 10 songs). You can pay this up front
and send it with your materials, or we will simply keep the first few sales
of your material as payment. Contact us for details!

What about Radio exposure and CD sales?
Fine by us! We understand and appreciate the "traditional distribution" of
music, involving radio play, CD sales, distribution companies and ad
campaigns. Our target audience is the user of digital music, which is wide
open new territory, not bound by constrictive confines of radio and the "old
guard". PODCASTS are everywhere, and so is MP3 music. We offer the finest
available in a specialty product - the best of music from TEXAS!
