I hope they come to Los Angeles again soon.

Mana... Tugs at the heart seeing these. Thanks for posting them. Though
I feel as if I've viewed some of them before. Merely similarities,
probably.
With Atsuko in L.A. chances would seem fairly good. What a shocker that
bit of news is!
I haven't read this group for some months. Very glad to see it's still
here with some familiar names. Hi, fellas!
As an aside, thanks to Casbah for recommending Ni Hao! in another post
here. I'm totally blown away by that Gorgeous album. Kinda B-52's meets
SK meets Fugazi with a few Sabbath riffs here and there if you ask me.
And it is on iTunes!

Unless you were there you don't really know.
Kevin: I dearly miss Mana, too. But it was Etsuko who toured with them
in 2005, and it is Etsuko in these pics. Mana was very much a part of
DMBQ, and could not tour with Shonen Knife.
It kind-a hurts to bring it up, but the anniversary of Mana's death was
last week.
I, too, have all but given up on this newsgroup. I might stop by once a
month or two. I'm much more attentive to the .com and .net websites.

And Kevin, I'm glad you like Ni-hao, I think they are just amazing. I
must have played Gorgeous 50 times within the first month I got it.
It's so much fun. They opened for Shonen Knife and Naoko compared them
to Chinese tin toys. I'm not sure I totally understand that but toys
is a good comparison. Maybe something like those mechanical wind-up
monkeys.
