what music is this, who's performing? (help! thanks)

A friend sent me an MP3 file of a song that I really enjoy ... a tenor
sax
is playing in it (hence the tenuous relationship to this newsgroup :)
However ... he has no idea what the song is, nor who is performing it,
where he
found it ... nada.
I'd like to know that info ... then I could actually buy a copy of it!
The song is at: http://www.sieler.com/mambo.html
(which has the link to the .WAV file of 35 MB ... about 3 minutes
long).
Any help in identifying the song would be greatly appreciated!
I tried using several iPhone apps "listen to a song and we'll identify
it", but
they all failed (e.g., Midomi), and have asked a number of musician
friends ...
the best answer is "maybe it's a mambo".

Definitely mambo, in the style of Perez Prado, but probably not played by
him (the violin is not typical), although the song might be written by him.

Oops. Missed the bit where he doesn't know. He should know where he
got it.
I've got stacks of Mambos but this isn't one of them. Sounds a modern
one with synths.

Reminds me of Jean Luc Ponty. Might even be one of his recordings
from the late '80s or '90s, based on the production and use of
synthesizer. Sounds like a very skilled arranger, not himself a mambo
musician, and a skilled big band of hired guns.
Doesn't sound authentic to me. I would think the violin or
synthesizer player would be the place to start.

I listened to the Kirsty MacColl album mentioned above (Tropical
Brainstorms) ...
although interesting, none of the tracks is this one :(
