I actually read somewhere not too long ago that this is supposedly
becoming a real problem - wild boars, pigs, etc...?

I don't see how that's a problem.
Oh, it's Europe, they probably have environmental regulations and such
that ban the obvious solution - someone get the coals going, where's
my butcher knife...
