Fragmented movie put together very well, but emotional bite didn't
happen.

The phases from being the underdogs to the titans wasn't substantiated
by depicted bonding amongst the men.

The jumping from Damon to Morgan Freeman to Security chiefs, but
showing no intimate understanding (bonding) from one team member to
another of the game, or other issues, didn't bring home the gloriful
feeling Clint wanted. The self-introspection of the team members
didn't occur of which they reflect outward and then bonded fiercely to
win the game to be glorious for the unification of the countrymen,
wasn't there.

The team was just herded around and when Damon had incidents with them
there was no bite because Clint didn't give them presence. There was
no identifying with them according to the shifts of the phases -
underdogs - intermediate - titans, in that no personalities were
substantiated of which to have reflected upon their changing scenario
which at the end was an ultimate glory, due to being at the point of
ineptitude then realizing they represent more than just rugby then
they would have reflected and tightened their relationships with each
other in personal ways, which then becomes a new point of experience
for them of which they reflect, then a new spirit amongst them leads
them to the glory. This all wasn't present/substantiated.

But the details were solid, I didn't think the beer can chucking at
the wall was convincing, until Matt Damon did his, that kind of
lessened the first guy not being convincing, that Eva Green chick was
hot, so was that Anne Mills one.

The biggest thing I liked was the black kid outside the stadium, the
way Clint matured that and portrayed the kid knowing his limits and
just how to get where he wanted to, that really touched me.

Love the piano keys music. Clint must really like that too.

The biggest fault was not having a small skit of guys explain Rugby so
that the movie patron would find presence to then be emotionally
bitten for the glory part. It was hard to feel the ultimate glory when
you didn't know the elements of Rugby, and also the buildup from start
to finish depicted by Rugby technicalities being pushed back & forth
by each team, Clint didn't do this.

4.5 stars for high quality filmsmanship and good story but a lack of
emotional bite/sensation.

I forgot to mention the top work of fantastic convincibility of Morgan
Freemans portrayal of Mandella, perfection of realism.

Eastwood wasted his time producing this cheap propaganda effort. More
head-in-the-sand liberalism that ignores the horrible problems that
region now has since "liberation."

People should be free and have the freedom to fail, this is one of the
fundamental tenets of Conservatism. Or do you believe we should all be
controlled from the top-down, to save us from ourselves, as liberals
believe? Additionally, it could be said that decades of oppression
result in the mess we see in SA now. The natives were certainly not
responsible for that.

If you think Clint Eastwood is a liberal, you've got your head, not in
the sand, but up your ass.

Perhaps you should see the movie before critiquing it.

I like good sports movies. Trying to fight ghettoization with sports
events is sad and at best, temporary.

Don't confuse "3 steps forward, 2 back" with "temporary"...

I note the flag is a Nazi symbol turned sideways. If I'm not mistaken
they have a shadow government off of Hitlers SS, as Argentina is
completely controlled by still existing SS and Waffen SS, I'm even
told the actual curriculum of Adolf Hitlers SS still is intact and
taught to Germans and Argentines alike.

That the flag changed to a symbol of Hitlers SS (turned sideways),
when it did is when the total presence of Hitlers powers achieved
total control of SA.

The strife reported today is probably staged as Argentinas strife is
all illegitimate and manufacutred by the Peronian SS powers - the
citizens are so happy they knowingly are part of staging strife. Just
as in Germany today all the anti-Nazi people are staging to be anti-
Nazi. They love their Fuhrer and Nazi'ism with a fierce heart.

My understanding is that Eastwood made this film to show there were
substantial icons that have served the integration of races working as
one brotherhood - this is the only purpose Clint had for this film,
not to glorify the current results of SA, or lie by saying the results
are great today from Mandella, the only motive was that Mandella
served the sentiment of black & whites working as one united
brotherhood, Clint had no intent or concern of the actual results.
Mandella existed and served that purpose, and that's why Clint made
the movie.
