Suntouch Design to Create New Website for Legendary Musician Rory Gallagher
San Diego, California | November 18th, 2009 � Suntouch Design LLC has
been selected to design a new website for the legendary Irish musician
Rory Gallagher. Employing the latest online technology, the new site
will feature Rory's complete discography, including a searchable
directory of songs and lyrics. Visitors to the site will be able to
sample Rory�s music as well as view clips of classic performances and
photos. The site is scheduled for completion in early 2010.
�Rory Gallagher is an internationally acclaimed musician, best known for
his blues and rock style. Rory�s unparalleled musical ability and
genuine character made him an icon of rock music and with each coming
year his popularity increases. Owing to his love and dedication to
music, Rory has left behind a rich legacy of albums, live concert
recordings, video footage, photos and related memorabilia.� says
Suntouch Creative Director John Compton.
Project Manager Daniel Gallagher commented, �I am looking forward to
working with Suntouch Design on what will be a great site and tribute to
Rory.�
Guitarists will be happy to hear the site will also feature a complete
archive of Rory�s guitar collection, more than 100 in all, including his
legendary �battered strat�, a 1961 Fender Stratocaster (reputedly the
first in Ireland) bought by Rory when he was barely a teenager.
�I have been a huge Rory fan for about twelve years now and developing a
site like this is a dream come true, � says Suntouch Creative Director
John Compton. �It is our goal to create an interactive experience that
will properly showcase Rory�s life and work.�
About Rory Gallagher
Rory Gallagher (pronounced "Roar-ie Gall-a-her") was an Irish blues/rock
guitarist. Born in Ballyshannon, County Donegal, Ireland on March 2,
1948, he grew up in Cork City. He is best known for his solo albums
throughout the 1970's and 1980's, and for his tenure in the band Taste
during the late 1960s. A multi-instrumentalist who gained a reputation
as a gifted and charismatic live performer, Rory Gallagher's albums have
sold in excess of 30 million copies worldwide. He died in London,
England on June 14, 1995.
