There is also a syndicated U.S. version, called "Your Big Break." An
individual did FM a couple months back.

Personally, I'm not a great fan of the show, but the guy doing Freddie
tonight was fantastic.
He came on, a balding Scottish bloke who looked nothing like Freddie (and
still didn't even after the makeover!!!) - but if you closed you're eyes
you would swear blind it was Freddie!!!
He must have listened to the original A Kind of Magic for weeks to perfect it.,
He deservedly won!!!
I was thinking while watching it - wouldn't it be good for the band to do
a concert as a kind of competition for the best sound alike - I have heard
a couple of good ones now - I wonder how many more there are out there
Would be a good way of airing some of the newer songs in a live environment???

Basically it's people who dress up and performs a song from a well known artist. I think the show is Dutch originally, and it is qiute popular in many European countries.-. A Dutchman called Henny Huisman "invented" it, it is called the Soundmix Show, the kids version is called the Mini Playbackshow.

-. A couple weeks ago there were a couple guys in the Soundmix Show that were imitating Montezuma's Revenge with an acapella version of Don't Stop Me Now, they were very good and won the show, they lost in the finals, but they were good.
