By the way, does the 1CD version of Oil on Canvas have all the
tracks that are on the Japanese 2CD version?

Yes. The original CD issue of Oil On Canvas omitted "Gentlemen take
polaroids" and "Swing", apparently to enable the release of the album on
a single disc (70+ minute CDs were not very common yet). When the newly
formed Virgin Japan released the album on CD in Japan in 1988, it restored
the two missing tracks and complete artwork, and put out the album as a
2-disc set. About three years later, Virgin quietly reissued its single-
disc version with the two missing tracks restored. Since Virgin made no
other changes to the shoddy artwork their Japan CDs have been saddled
with since their first UK release on CD, the only way to tell for sure
which version you are looking at (this is especially true in used record
shops) is to check the track listing. The reissue will have 15 tracks,
while the original CD reissue contains only 13.
