Not counting the remakes/covers on Emancipation or the old stuff on
Crystal Ball.
When was the last time that The Artist put a song that was more than 2
or 3 years old on an album? Ya know SOTT had a song that had been
around 6 or 7 years B4 it's release(I Could Never...) , Raspberry
Beret's basic music had been around 4 or 5 years B4 it's release on
ATWIAD as with Purple Rain (supposedly 1978?), Joy in Repitition, We Can
Funk, Can't Stop This Feeling I Got, and Tick Tick Bang off of Graffiti
Bridge. True that each of these tracks had been re-recorded 4 the actual
release but, funny thing is that we never got say an Exodus outtake on
NPS or something like that. I guess he has certain songs in mind 4
certain albums that just may not fit on any other album 2 him. What do U
think?

This is not true at all. I asked Prince this specific question on that Q & A
session he did with the fans through L4OA awhile back. Anyways, they used 3 of
my questions and this was one of them. His response was "That is purely
fiction."

I think (as do many AMPers) that Push It Up and Freaks On This Side are not too
far removed from the type of material he was doing during the Exodus days.

-Only 2 or 3 thanx to the Eavesdropped in Intimate Moments boot CD.

I can recall reading that someone reported that "319" (1995) was from around
1989. "However Much U Want" is from 1991 and it didn't see the light until
1995. I'll swear that "Yo Mister", "101", "Jaguar" (1989) is from the vast
1986 sessions. That's all I can think of off hand.
