Mark,
Please understand that if we happen to disagree, it doesn't mean we're
afraid to "admit it". It just means we disagree.

Opinions... Preferences... we all have em.
I don't think The Black Album compares to
the Gold Experience by a long shot. I
only really got into 2 songs: Rock Hard...
and Superfunkcalifragisexy.
But hey, I just like that NPG sound.
A lot of the old synth stuff I'm just now
beginning to appreciate, because I really
couldn't "feel" it. I can appreciate the
unique sound, but I like to be able to
feel and relate to it. Perfect example
(for me and many) -- "Purple Rain" or
"Computer Blue" or "Love 2 the 9's".
I guess it just depends on personality.
Some people prefer the more chaotic stuff;
some prefer the more tranquil stuff.
It also may depend on what you grew up on
and what you're into in general. If you
like 2 dance, "Human Body" may be for you.
If you feel ruled over, "Face Down" may do it.
I think O(+> is at least 1 of the best.
At the same time I like C&D which is quite
a contrast except 4 maybe "into the light"/
"i will." There's so much music to appreciate.
I wouldn't waste my time beating a "poor"
piece of music into the ground because I
personally didn't like it.

Go ahead and flame the man bringin' da' truth!!
Emancipation was an alright album!! When I first listened to it, I thought
it was incredible. After I listened to the CD for a couple of days, I
realized that I had about a half of a CD of cool music ..out of 3 CDS at
30 bucks!!
Prince (thats what his mama named him) is capable of producin' better
music!! He does need to drop the pop-rock bullsh*t. Prince needs to go
back to his roots...FUNK!!
Come ..it sucked!!
Gold..it sucked!!!
Chaos and Disorder..it really sucked!!
What do they have in common..nothing to really groove to!!
Emancipation has a couple of funky tunes ..and the record sales and the
reviews proved that point. If Prince concentrated his efforts into funk,
he would retake the music world and blow away all that crappy alternative
and rap bullshi*t.
John Johnson
> Gold..it sucked!!!
I cringe everytime I hear someone say this. Hell, I cringe everytime
I hear <This 0(+> album> sucks. NO 0(+> ALBUM SUCKS!!!! period.
Some are a lot better than others, but I can't think of any album
of his that I don't like at least one song from.
peace.
Jeeze, if I listened to an artist and felt his last three albums sucked,
I don't think I'd be a fan for long. Or even spending time in his
newsgroup.
Let's hope the term "sucks" isn't a part of your vocabulary. If it is,
your packing a double-standard. Have some netiquette, and refrain from
flaming a dude for his use of words with regards to certain albums.
Let's face it, some of his albums do suck: Gold
Chaos
Emancipation (most of)
Let's face it, we are all entitled to an opinion. If you think that
browning up to The Man-no matter what he does-is going to get you
somewhere, your dreaming. For a change, somebody agreed with me in this
group! I've ceased to buy Nelson's new material without a detailed
listen first. It's come to this my friends.
Mark
Let's not face it. It's only your opinion, and a pathetically
underdeveloped one at that.
> Let's face it, we are all entitled to an opinion.
Apparently, that entitlement is not merit-based :)
> If you think that

Why is it that someone who still likes the music is "browning
up to the Man"? Maybe Ur-Vile just likes the music.

We'll definitely go into mourning over this news...
Tricky

whatever. Replace "some of his albums do suck" with "I don't care
for these albums" and you have it. And anyone that says Gold
sucks I think is crazy. I can't ever conceive someone
labeling the album that made me a 0(+> fan for life something
that sucks. Mabye your definition of "sucks" is different than
mine.
...ugh, I gotta go... I'll continue this later. peace.
> Tricky
Replace like w/ love, and you've hit it on the button ;)
And for what reason would I be brownnosing (question to
previous poster bfore Tricky)? Like 0(+> is gonna visit
me here in Centralia for posting that I think TGE is the
best... although I wouldn't mind it if the man proved me
wrong (he,he,he). peace.

This has written the most songs and has the courage to do what he likes not
what you expect from him there is only one question to ask"When is he going
to tour the world again?"
Can anybody give me an answer?
