Well, I see a LOT of posts about where bands are performing, but rarely see how the event went...
If you ever get the chance to perform or attend a dance at The German-American Cultural Society in Pawtucket, RI, you should. The Old Hall is Beautiful - nice acoustics, plenty of seating and the whole floor is a wooden dance floor. The food they serve is also top-notch!
Our Performance Saturday Night 5/4 had a very small crowd. It appears that The "German" membership does not support dances or is just too old to come out on Saturday Night. The people who did attend were wonderful.
Our regular Polka Dance Performance Sunday 5/5 was fantastic. A larger crowd that really made us feel at home. Much Laughter, Dancing, Singing and they stayed till the end of the day. If I could, I would've brought those great folks back home with us!
John Ziobrowski (PAC President) and Erika Danner, 1st Vice-President of the GACS Club started running Sunday "Polish Style" polka dances there about 6 years ago and they are succeeding. The dances are well attended.
Here is a link to the polka dance schedule:

I can't wait to perform there again - Thanks John & Erika and all of the people that treated us like family - 1 Polka Family! FYI - The Continentals Played German, Polish, Slovene and a Czech song or two that weekend.
