Hi, I am desperately searching for Sto Lat on a CD to play at my fathers 70th birthday party. Every version I have found online sounds so generic! I remember hearing one when I was a kid, but do not know who sang it. It was inpolish and English.....any and all help would be greatly appreciated!??!!!

You can find one on the latest Bud Hundenski CD "Resurgence". It is in Happy Birthday Polka. Stolat/Happy Birthday all in one.

No English lyrics but if you like it, you'll need to search out cd's from Poland.

Not sure I understand what you are looking for. The song itself is generic, meaning it can be sung for any birthday.
It might be "generic" but the one that Canadian Polka Guy posted is a great version which you would have to go a long way to beat. It is very similar to the way that John Gora does the song.

What does "push style" have to do with anything?

generic kinda like sounding the same ,nothing standing out, nothing unique, the three bands I listed all have their own definitive sound, not generic.

I've used John Gora's "Sto Lat" for years on my radio show when I announce birthdays. It's on his "Take A Spin with John Gora and the Gorale" CD.
