All in all an excellent show, very different from what most of us
expected.
All of the usual suspects in the band: Melanie Gabriel, Tony Levin, Ged
Lynch, David Rhodes, Angie Pollock and Richard Evans.
The first two songs stem from the forthcoming (it seems work on it is
finished, though there's no word on when it might be released) "Scratch
my Back" album of reciprocated cover versions...
A great version of Book, but must say that the vert symple and quiet
arrangement of Boy didn't really strike as a great concert opener -
partly because there were a quite a few sound troubles initially that
only got corrected with the first "loud" and full band number
(Darkness).
Also, the first three numbers had a 7 people string section (The Bus
Stop String Ensamble, I think they were nicknamed).
Some of the usual flubs and mistakes (especially on Big Time and the
resurrected Quiet Steam), but also some amazing executions of classics
(Games and No Self Control above all, IMHO).
