And the new colouring of the website around the new release is a really nice change...

On Fri, 6 Sep 2002 19:53:41 +0200, the very astute individual "Carol Blackdover"

very cool stuff. to me, it's reminicent (sp?) of the early tool videos with
the creepy marrionettes and what not.

very nice.

the front definitely has a tribal look to it. the back also looks like it
has a chain or something next to the ribcage. very cool.

and on down 'music by mccready/gossard' looks kinda purty too.

And "words by Vedder" in combination with that... I'm looking forward to
that song!

Well, immadiately upon seeing this I thought of the NAIS artwork... which is
not a bad thing to remind me of. Actually, I like this artwork alot more... I
was never impressed with that for NAIS and lightyears. This is gorgeous...

Mixed by Brendan o'brien... we have known this for a while... but it's good to
actualyl see it in writing. This damn thing is going to sound pretty sweet, I
can feel it. Good production values, this is my prediction.

I remember the first time I hear I Am Mine I thought it was music by Gossard
for sure.. I remember right after hearing it, Laurie started referring to it as
"Ed's song... well, she was right. I mean, I knew it was his song after he
started performing it at the solo gigs....

It's nice to see Mike credited to some writing again... I hope he has a big
hand in the writing of this album.

I am going INSANE waiting for this record.

I am a fanatic.. if tomorrow night, we heard of a show in seattle the next day,
I would be on a plane the next morning and there at the show that nigth. I am
prepared to do this at a moments notice, no problems.

Now I just want confirmation that Down is a non-album track. Has anyone heard
any word on this?

You weren't nearly excited enough in the subject line!!! You might have
saved me from jumping in the air like a mad duck ;p in a seperate post.
(total tongue in cheek here CB.
Man ... I'm excited enuf tho' woo de hoo. It's so nice to get a visual
feel -- I was thinking NAIS when I saw it too - but this work gives off a
totally different vibe. It's very 'clean' - no blurring that I can digest
yet. The skeleton and barbed wire speak volumes. Love it love it love it.

i think it looks cool... but i am even more psyched about the fact that
Down is a mcCready/Gossard/Vedder song :) I love it when they write
together. I love it when Mike writes...

*sigh* november 12 is SO far away....

although I do have to admit this is the least excited I've been for a new PJ
record since No Code

maybe it's 'cause you're just growing older, and your
testosterone hormones are slowing down, matt.
. . . ever think of that? it can happen.

I'm only 22, and believe me, it isn't hormones slowing down

Great artwork - hope the artwork for the album will be as good as this one!
