Turns out it was a cryptic crossword clue.
"Deletions consist of beheadments, curtailments, and internal deletions."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cryptic_crossword#Deletions
Romeo and Juliet,
One beheadment, one internal deletion, and one imperfect
curtailment, and one masterpiece becomes the title for another.
Me and Julio, (down by the schoolyard.)

I cracked this one a few days ago.

Pretty cool logic, there!

There are probably a number of websites which would help propagate this
information; I was disappointed by the response at Wikipedia. Also, a
Facebook group asking about the song hasn't responded.
Any site you know to recommend ?

Don't you mean propagate this rumour?

It is more germane than some information on Wikipedia, that:
1) "The House of Detention" is the proper name of an NYC landmark (one
of many explicitly named places in NYC in Paul Simon's lyrics). This
gender dissonance resonates with the under-defined event in the
schoolyard. Because the Radical Priest is drawn in, many listeners have
assumed that some form of socially deviant act (by ~1970's Catholic
priest standards) was involved. This information validates and
significantly expands on decades of existing speculation.
2)
RoMeo & Juliet... (dbtsy)
- (Ro o ~zee)
----------------------------------------
Me & Julio... (dbtsy)
Julee, do you think #2 is likely to be in the song by chance?
Do you think the rebus unlikely, odd, and noteworthy?
Paul's rebus implies an equivalence with Shakespeare's doomed romance.
So, no, I meant information.
Proof oughta be the bottom line for everyone.
What's your standard level of proof, Julius? "reasonable doubt"? "good
enough for government work"?, "99 and 44/100 % pure"?, 12 karat gold?
I trust, at least, that you could be convinced by Paul Simon, would he
try to convince you. Until then, I feel I have added to the
conversation.
