Whenever I download new Usenet posts.

Here... I presume that when there is a new album out, it'll still be
posted here, and I'm not interested in tours of Australia or talks given
in US universities.

I hold hands with the person next to me on the subway, then conjure up
a mental image of all the people in the group, which is quite the
trick since I've never seen most of you

From the Dave Matthews newsgroup.

Here and sometimes on www.thedreamerofmusic.com (best Paul Simon site from
far)

Whenever there's a new post. I subscribe to the group's RSS feed,
which is about as efficient as the email digests.

Google Groups.

There's PS news? Seriously, though, Bodo's site (though the signal-to-
noise ratio in the forums isn't amazing), Dreamer of Music, Sound of
Simon, Google News, the PS website and MySpace RSS feeds and
clandestine emails.

Which I have actually missed...
I am. My name is Dan. I am mostly a lurker but have posted
occasionally in the past.

Mostly from here. I go to the other sites occasionally, but I prefer
to stick around here and follow links posted by the generous people
who still populate the group.
Personally, I was very excited to hear of the new S&G tour. I enjoyed
the 2003-04 shows in the States very much, and as a child of the
sixties, I find that the best of S&G continues to move me. I still
listen to the S&G albums regularly. Unlike most here, I never got
into Graceland/ROTS to any great degree, preferring Paul's earliest
solo material, which I find more lyrically profound. But I really
like Surprise and am hoping for a relatively quick follow-up. And I
would love to see some S&G shows later this year if they decide to do
some in the US.
I've seen Paul and Art solo many times as well. My most memorable
Paul shows were in 1973, when he played at Masonic Auditorium in his
first Detroit-area area solo show and, despite a few requests,
declined to play "Papa Hobo" because, he said, he couldn't remember
the lyrics ("Detroit, Detroit/Got a hell of a hockey team"--not true
in those days. . . . ); the "One Trick Pony" tour, which I thought was
fantastic; the 1984 Living Room tour, which was especially fine
because it was Paul solo again and gave the audience a very generous
and humorous show despite poor attendance; and the 2007 Detroit
Surprise show, for which I had front-row seats and got to shake Paul's
hand. Here's hoping for some more concerts like that in the US!

Chris is doing rather a good job of keeping PS songs alive in the North West
folk clubs when not here. Nice photo of his on the dreamer of music home
page too.
Cheque by first class post please Chris....
Julie
I'm also a regular visitor, very nice picture of Paul on TDOM.
Me. Now. My computer had a "black screen of death" in late May. It got
fixed, but then I became extremely busy re: the end of the school year,
& -just- dawned on me I'd forgotten to re-subscribe to amps!

Ha! But I just did - thanks Cathy.
I read this posts through Google groups.
I only stop by every 2 or 3 weeks lately, sometimes even longer than
that.
Any news I get is probably from Bodo's site - although Julie usually
gives me news before that :-)

I agree. Paul totally: S&G not so much
I am. Sometimes.
> 2 how often do you visit?
Not as often as when I didn't have three young kids to raise. Probably
once every two months.
> 3 how do you access the newsgroup?
Through groups.google.nl
> 4 where are you getting your PS news now?
Still mainly from this group, or the PS website (is the 'Lasers in the
Jungle' web still up?).
Some time ago I joined ITunes and much to my surprise I found a PS
album that I didn't know, "ITunes Originals: Paul Simon". It includes
a number of well-know AND otherwise unreleased tracks and a LOT of
talking by Paul about his songwriting. It is probably 'old news' for
all other group contributors/readers, but definitely new to me.
Cheers from sunny Amsterdam,
