I am getting fed up of all these ads and stuff in this group, so have
decided to start up a new subject, rather than 'do you want a job?'!!!
So who else loves OCS the most? Has any of you seen them live? I
wanted to, but didn;t get round to it. I heard them on Radio 1 live in
concert and it was amazing tho. I think they are an excellent LIVE
band.
What's your fave song or album?
I was big time into It's a Beautiful Thing when it came out. I love the
end bit with the solo that just makes you want to SCREAM!! I am not
sure what I favour at the mo. I guess I love all their stuff a lot.
Moselely Shoals won me first. I can't wait until they start some new
stuff.
Hmm. Everyone says they are v much like the Beatles. Do all you guys
here like the fab 4 too? i think that is kinda why I got into them in
the first place. OCS I mean! I am 20 so kinda regret not being around
in the 60s to have experienced them fully. OCS almost make up for this.
Anyway, please people write something sociable. It is lonely here, but
we can make a difference! :o)

I've seen them twice, and I think like you, they are maybe the best live
band, (Suede are excellent too).

fave song or album? umm, let me think... well, I can't decide, it depends on
my mood... (actually "Hundred Mile High City" and "Besides Yourself") and I
have to say I love Marchin' Already and Moseley Shoals, and the other
albums... I can't get them in my city :(

ok then.

me.

Yes, 3 times. Brixton Acadamey, Wembley and The Royal Albert Hall.

They are really good live. I collect OCS live tapes, my list is on my page.
> What's your fave song or album?
The Day We Caught The Train I suppose. Mosley Shoals has to be the best album.

I'm not that keen on that song.

Have you heard them sing The Poacher with Paul Weller? It's an
excellent song. I also have them singing some other stuff like, Song
Of The Baker and Done This One Before.
> Hmm. Everyone says they are v much like the Beatles.
hmmmmmm, some songs maybe.

of course.

yep.

Yeah, I know. I've been here since the very start. I think that if
OCS were 'bigger' in the US then this newsgroup would be a lot
busier. About 1% of America know who OCS are:(
I will hpefully adding an OCS page to my site soon, so look out for it:)
You can get some Rare OCS mp3 files on my page.

I haven't seen them live as I was too late to get any bloody
tickets! I'm hoping they're gonna be at Glastonbury as that's the
only festival I think I'm going too.
What other bands do you people like then?
Tim.
I saw OCS live at Sheffield Arena and it was excellent. They are a very
good band to see live. A band called Seargent opened and then PP Arnold
did her stuff for a bit.
I've got this ace hat!! You know the one on the marchin already album
that steve cradock wears - its like that in a beige cord made by
Kangol!!
I think Mosely Shoals is the best of the three but Marchin Already
follows really close behind
The best song to hear live by OCS is Get Away (i think thats what its
called?)
I think the best track on marchin already is Blown Away
OCS are very very 60's influenced. Loads of people have really
criticised them for this but I think that the 60's was good music but
this is better!

Somone always asks that question when trying to get the group up, and
everyone starts talking about some other band :)
Yup, I love Get Blown Away too, it's absolutely brilliant.
Tim.
Damn it! How could I forget 40 Past Midnight from that list??
Tim.
> Tim.
Have to agree here! Get blown Away is excellent, especially the
intro, which is amazing. I've seen them live and they were really great.
