Now that you're mine
We'll find a way of chasing the sun.
Let me be the one to slide with you.
And in the morning, we both know what to do.
Two of a kind, we'll find a way to do what we've done.
Let me be the one to slide with you
And we can slide away.
Sheer bloody poetry

I think that the best lyrics are from "Some Might Say"
"Some might say
they don't believe in heaven
do and tell it to
the man who lives in hell"
I don't even believe in god--but DAMN! those lyrics!

Excellent choice...
Cheers.
A John Lennon quote.
My favourites lyrically... er..no, nevermind, I'm not doing *another* one of
these threads.. I'm not in to flogging dead horses.....
"i'll just hang me coat on his chin
when I get to the television studio"
Noel (when asked on Rockline about
appearing on the Tonight Show)
Cheers,
Octobreana
it's a reference to John Lennon... the peace sit ins where him and yoko
stayed in bed all day... most of the lyrics in DLBiA are references to
Lennon... made obvious by the lead-in from Imagine.

I agree! it's either Talk Tonite or Sad Song!
"maybe i will never be, all the things that i wanna be, now is not the time to
cry, now's the time to find out why"
If that line right there isn't inspiring, I don't know what is..........
Of course, there's also the whole of The Masterplan..which, it should be no
secret to anyone here who knows me, my absolute favourite song by ANYone.. EVER
I love those 2 as well but since I first heard them my favourites have
been:
D'yer wanna be a spaceman
It's funny how your dreams change as you're growing old
You don't wanna be no spaceman, you just want the gold
All the dream stealers are lying in wait
But if you want to be a spaceman it's still not too late.
and
The Girl in the Dirty Shirt
Cos to me it doesn't matter if your hopes and dreams are shattered
Cos when you say something you make me believe ...
I don't know if they're the best Oasis lyrics though - just my
favourites.
Jean
Another classic Gallagher original! Impressive!

Right, you asked for it :
Live Forever's "Maybe you're the same as me/we'll see things they'll
never see", Listen Up's bridge and chorus, almost all of Slide Away
bar the silly "don't know, don't care" ending; all of My Big Mouth is
good, I Hope I Think I Know has some nice one liners, Married With
Children's "You're music's shite...." line and Champagne Supernova's
"Where were you when we were getting high" and "How many special
people change?".
There. That is all.
Cheers,
Karim

My favourite lyrics are from DGA
Damn my education I can't find the words to say
With all the things caught in my mind.

I think that the best lyrics are on Cast No Shadow for the imagery
that they invoke. Every time I hear it, I can't help nut think about
how many times I've felt like that. Any takers on this?

Cast no Shadow is the best one... For me, not only for the imagery, but also
for all the greats memory this song invoke....(During a trip to Maine, try
to guess what CD were in my CD player? Me and my friend, Isa, were signing
all the way... Really good memories....)
Just my opinion...
