remain as singer, and Noel will be switching to drums, having enjoyed
this whilst concentrating on his sideproject, Tailguner.
The forthcoming album, Bang! , features some top session players,
particularly Joe Satriani , who will provide the grunt that the lads
can't achieve by themselves., although he will not be appearing with
them live, and his parts will come off tape in future shows. Another
star player will be Andrew Lloyd Webber who will be providing
intricate and moving piano parts.
All other members of the act have been made redundant.
The music is said to be in a rock/pop/funk direction, and with the
lack of musicians on stage , a backing troupe of dancers , combined
with a yet unheard of pyrotechnic display, linked to pads on Noel's
kit. The whole show has been designed for maximum theatrical impact.
One one number Liam and Noel will try their hands at both singing and
dancing, With Noel banging a tambourine and the backing tapes will
include suitable grooves for keeping them in happy rhythm. Noel will
also be taking a back seat from songwriting, as most of the material
from BANG is cowritten by Steve Crosby, who has previously worked with
Steps and Shooch.
Noel has now perfected playing drums along with a click track, which
means that the drums will have a tight, thunderous sound and be in
perfect synchronisation with the music on the tape.
However, there will by live brass courtesy of The Kick Horns, and also
a Children's Choir for several of the slower numbers
