Subject: WinMX can connect and search, but not download
I have an internet connection through a campus LAN network.  I
recently downloaded WinMX v3.31 a few days ago, and I successfully
downloaded 13 files without any trouble. But the past 2 days I have
been able to connect, search, browse...everything but download. I have
tried verything but nothing has worked.  My settings are correct, and
I have even uninstalled the program and then installed it again, but
all in vain.  On top of this problem, the help website is currently
under construction...how convenient.  Pleas, someone, HELP ME, I am so
pissed off with this I could scream!!
Thank you,
April Baker

PS  Now I know that I'm not entirely crazy, a gut named James is
having the same EXACT problem, and his message was posted today too!
There must be someone out there who knows how to fix this!!

Try selecting "unable to receive incoming TCP" in winMX's internet
settings (you will need to close winMX and restart for the change to
take effect).

A good site for info on winMX is
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/j.buchanan/splash.html

There is a winMX unofficial help forum at
http://forums.winmxcommunity.com/viewforum.php?f=4
