This is just a suggestion as I haven't had any problems with iTunes,
but if you don't have any iTunes data you mind losing (playlists or
ratings etc.) you could uninstall iTunes then delete the iTunes folder
in My Documents>My Music, as well as deleting your iTunes program
folder before reinstalling iTunes. One of those should contain the
corrupted file. Be careful about things if you have purchased any
music via iTunes though, I don't want to be held responsible for you
losing anything ;-)

Just another stab in the dark guess, maybe it means the corruption is
on the iPod. Try reformatting the iPod with the iPod updater.

Ok I had this problem today, but I fixed it.
1) Connect the Ipod to the pc and go into the ipod settings and unclick
the show artwork.
2) Eject the Ipod and play a song make sure the art work is not being
displayed.
3) Reconnect the ipod to the pc and recheck the show art work. The Ipod
symbol will blink red and in the top it should be saying something like
optomizing the artwork for your ipod.
4) Once it is done eject the ipod again and then see if the artwork
came back.

I had to do this twice but the corrupt artork db gets rebuilt and no
resetting the ipod and losing your files.
