And as a bonus...I think I've finally figured out who the Moodies are
referring to in their song "The One".
Did some exploring in the art world this weekend.....traveled thru a Thomas
Kinkaid gallery shop....supposed to be a painter of light. You've probably
seen a bunch of his stuff as he's pretty common. First time I've ever seen
any real painting of his though. There were a few that reminded of Ray's
HWD album cover....seascapes with sunsets and one with a storm that was
pretty neat.
I got incredibly lucky and picked up a couple of my favorite pictures....no
Kinkaids but a couple treasures for me. My weekend wasn't a total loss.
>Russ...I'll shut up about U2...but I must tell you about a cover song....I
>heard this voice I had to follow....ended up being a guy named Bono.....I
>saw a picture on the cover of the disk that I'd seen in my head one
>day....and found this song called "One"...you've probably heard it and I'm
>just really slow...seems everyone around me knew about U2 already...heard
>they're into world peace...kind of a timely time for me to be introduced.
Hmmm. I don't recall any recent posts concerning U2 in the ng lately
(I think the last time was during a discussion with Andy a few months
back). Bono? I think the musician you speak of is Paul "Bono" Hewson
the vocalist for U2. I haven't heard One in quite a while actually.

I think everybody and his/her dog has pondered the question about who
the song The One might be about. People have mentioned names like
Patrick Moraz, Mike Pinder, Prince Charles, the Pope, and President
Clinton. So you think the song might be about Bono or U2, is that
correct? Myself, I have not thought about it as much as others have.

I'm not sure I understand the artist or site you are referring to. I
can't say that I know much about art (but I know what I like) and
painters, although I have been known to paint the town red a few times
(a few times too many now that I think about it). (big grin)

Seascapes, sunsets and storms...sounds interesting Stephane. Well, if
you've found a few links to nice pictures you think we'd like to see,
don't hesitate to share them. :)

I might look around sometime...but last time I looked one of them in it's
best form wasn't accessible....you had to settle for a poster view....which
really sucked.
The Kinkaids.....I've never searched...you seem a little handicapped here
anyway. If I find some I'm let the group know.
The Indian art cover you'll probably have to find for yourself. Check out
U2 next time you're in your record shop.
Thanks for the music lesson......can you tell me about the Edge who is here
as well?

What?!!! Well, I oughta...@*&%... Handicapped? NOT! At least I'm not
handicapped enough not to take donations (in the form of links and/or
information into who you think The One is about).
