Here's an old interview with Peter I stumbled into. It may just be one
of the poorest interviews ever, but I thought I'd share the link anyway:

Peace.

I think people assumed that because Michael had to buy himself out of
his Monkees contract, they assumed the same was true with Peter. But,
the truth of the matter was Michael didn't buy himself out of his
contract. He said he gave up the remaining payments on his salary, on
which the Monkees were tied to Screen Gems and Columbia. Their
contracts expired in 1973, which was a fairly long time for a movie/TV
studio to commit any actor or performer to, whether it was the Monkees
or other parties. As songwriters, the Monkees were committed to Screen
Gems-Columbia for the same length of time although outside of Michael,
Screen Gems-Columbia didn't have very many songs from the other three.
Michael's last album for RCA also brought some of the last songs
published by Screen Gems-Columbia. The publishing on Michael's next
album would be through his own company, Peaceful.

It wasn't bad. Pretty simple interview but a good read. Thanks for
sharing it.
