Once more....
ALL test posts belong in the newsgroup especially set up for tests!

NEVER in a regular newsgroup.
:)
And who are you? The AMM police?
I know it's bad to post a test in a newsgroup that has so MANY posts
everyday. It's a real chore just to read through all the hundreds we get.
So I do apologize for making you click on a posting that you didn't need to.
I happen to read AMM through my Outlook. I would have to go download
another whole group (assuming I knew such a thing existed) just to make a
post to see how my email address came out. Tsk. Lazy me.

A newsgroup police-person with a bag over their head...:-)

It is up to the users of Usenet to learn and follow the rules - so that you
don't look like an idiot.
From:
http://lipas.uwasa.fi/~ts/http/testpost.html
" Novice users, and sometimes even others, occasionally place these "A test,
please ignore" messages in discussion newsgroups. Please don't do this. It is
wasteful of the resources. These news reach tens of thousands of readers, so a
very wide distribution is involved. Furthermore, many users find the test
messages very annoying in the discussion newsgroups, and you have a good chance
of getting some testy email. "
Whether or not an unknown lurker in our newsgroup chooses to think I'm an
idiot for doing a test post is not something I care about in the least.
Please go back under your bridge and come back when Hale-Bopp comes through
again.
