Peter Tork To Do Benefit Show In Lebanon
July 20
July 17, 2008
Peter Tork, one of the original Monkees, is the headliner Sunday for a
concert to benefit a playground in memory of Bailey Shifrin.

The Bailey's Garden Family Music Fest begins at noon at the Lebanon
Lions Club Fairgrounds with local bands on Mack Road in Lebanon.

Tork and his band, Shoe Suede Blues, take the stage at 8:15 p.m.

Bailey was born in 1997 with Trisomy 18, a genetic condition. She
lived for 7 years, highly unusual for children with this diagnosis.

A playground accessible to all children, with a central area
overlooking a large garden, already has a playscape that was built.
The $250,000 project is being constructed in stages. About $80,000 has
been raised so far.

Tickets for the festival are $20, with kids 10 and younger admitted
free. Details: 860-642-4552 or www.baileysgarden.org.
