It's my favorite album -- by any artist -- to listen to with my eyes
closed. I'll confess, though, that I didn't like the Margaret Thatcher
ending when it came out, and I still don't. To have "La, la, la,
endings are only beginnings" intruding on the lush sonic world he's
created may have made a political point, but it spoils the music in a
way that his message to Richard Branson doesn't.

If it was a movie, it would be quite a strange movie. Just when one
storyline gets started, another one interrupts it. At least it would
