a couple of times a week I stop by the alt.music.mike-Oldfield site in the
forlorn hope that I may pick up a smidgen of information about Mike.
A new album!
Rarities box-set?
Live tour.
Another collection of songs or a greatest hits.
Remaster project.
Some input to a compilation?
Come on give me some reason not to turn off.
I would imagine that he has more than enough cash to see him to his dotage
and if he is "finished", how about letting us know? If not, how about
letting us know? I would have thought that someone who has made the music
that he has and done what he has would be wanting to prolong his career and
our interest in his music.
Thoughts anyone??

the morning? Puppies?

Hey Joe, Where you going with that gun in your hand? (sorry, but I couldn't
think of a Goon's reference with Joe in it???)

But why is "he" not releasing it as a extra on a SACD / DVDA 5.1 version of
the album?
What program do you use for the binaries?

What about him starting work on the 20th Anniversary 5.1 mix of Amarok..?
(minus Janet Brown and with more druming)

I don't mind the JB bit either really Jim, its just a touch dated now... it
would however be nice to get an alternative 5.1 mix without it...

happy?

Whereas I don't mind Janet Brown.. I hated Thatcher.

This always colours the end of Amarok for me, which is a shame cos the
climax of the piece is superb.

Gotta agree with you there Joe... my surround amp produces a nice pseudo
5.1 mix, but it would be just fantastic to have something re-released for
the 20th anniversary along with some detailed sleeve notes on the original
project...
