I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure this is how you open a fucking album.

No no no...I don't speak Japanese, nor do I have this degree of talent. I just discovered this band and thought I'd share a track. I've been into Japanese music for some time, and went on an exploratory expedition this past weekend to find some new stuff. This was among it. They're called Zazen Boys, and they are a group that was born from the ashes of an also-awesome band called Number Girl. Think Kaiser Chiefs-post-Bungle. But not really.

I heard this track, the first track on their first album, and my first thought was that this is how you open a fucking album. And my friends should hear this. Super-good stuff.

Oh, sorry man, I'm on a limited data plan & I'm already into overage this month, so I only played about 2/3rd of it & didn't hear any vocals. Pretty flippin' cool tho...

I'm extremely proud of myself for recently teaching myself, by ear, a bass guitar arrangement for Schumann's Traumerei

Well, of course it was by ear, even if I could sight read music I kinda doubt Schumann wrote a bass guitar score.

If one of my albums were doing that, I don't think I'd try to interrupt
it, much less open it.

I would gently, trying not to break the mood, place it on the turntable and drop the needle. I need to hear that.
