Motown and Diana Ross helped push the Jackson Five back in the early
seventies.
If it wasn't for Gordy and Ross, Jackson would probably be working at a
Carwash, or in some other menial worthless job like a janitor. If he lucked
out, maybe a convenience store manager.
Paul McCartney would have probably become a English College Professor and
would probably hold a lot of prestige with the British Education community
today.
His name would hold a lot of prestige regardless of what he ended up doing.

Speaking of Paul McCartney did he write the song GIRLFRIEND from the Off The
Wall album or what that someone else? I noticed it says McCartney but do
they mean Paul? This was 1979 and was Paul writing for Michael in those
years?

You have to remember not a lot of talent is needed anyway to write rock
songs. Jackson is an entertainer. He is the best in his field. Put him in
writing country music or some other field and he may not do too well.
Anyway in the rock world Jackson has the talent. I also like Mercury and
Queen. I think they have more musical talent but that is my opinion. They
are all good. Jackson seems to prevail at everything he does. He is very
smart. He keeps quiet and takes note of things around him and works off
those situations. He is a practical joker too. Watch out he may play a
joke on you. He will also trip you up too. If you anticipate that he will
go to a party; a party of the A-List, he might not show and go shopping at
the mall. You can't predict him and he doesn't want to be predicted. Try
it sometime; do the exact opposite of what people expect you to do and see
what happens. It will trip them out.

You're not saying it's harder to write country music now, are you?

"Let's get in my truck;
Hey, bring a buck;
We'll try our luck
at the ol' duck pluck"

"One two I love you;
Three four let's shut the door"

"The first time I looked into your eyes
I knew this moment would arrive
I got a feelin' you're the one
But my heart keeps tryin' to turn and run
The problem is this happens every time

Chorus

If we can take this one kiss at a time
Maybe we can tame this heart of mine
I'm telling you the cold hard truth
I ain't ever been loved by the likes of you
And I ain't ever had this much on the line"

It was written for Michael. Paul and Linda presented it to him at a party
whom Michael was invited by Paul's daughter. It is performed by Michael in
1979 on Off The Wall and as well by Paul McCartney and Wings on Paul's 1978
(1977?) album: London Town.

I'd be blessed if I had the time to spam people with hate mail.

Of course I wouldn't, I'd just do productive things with my time :)

"Doris".. I still don't get why you think Michael would have such a hard
time writing country music and that rock doesn't take a lot of talent?

You know, you people really piss me off, what dont u just go fuck a tree, a
sheep or urself? there, a number of highly recommendable options for you. I
think Michael has loads of talent, and even if his Dad hadn't of pushed him,
he would still be called the king of pop, because thats what he is. If he
didn't have talent why on earth would motown sign the Jackson 5 up?
I think you are so pathetic, coming on here and cussing him, theres no need
for it, Michael has a fat lot more talent then you ever will have, your a
nobody. We have our opinions and you have yours, you are proberbly into shit
music but thats fine, because its your taste. I think your a dick head, why
dont you just delete this newsgroup from your computer and shoove your head
up crap musics arse's. You know Michael is great and you purely 100% jealous
that he has women falling at his feet. The only reason twats like you come
on here is because your jealous and just idiots, go grab a life and live,
it, and leave Michael alone. MICHAEL IS THE KING OF POP!!!!

There was a cartoon re: Mikey some years back featuring Jacko &
Lisa Marie Presley in bed -- separated by a long row of little boys.
Presley is whispering into the nearest little boy's ear: "Pass it down:
I want a divorce."
