That's funny, Ben's my all-time favorite too (I named my son Ben).

As for the other songs, my second favorite changes day to day and mood to
mood.

Am sure we all agree the Motown 25 performance was ACE!!
I felt that the song Ben is very moving.... When did MJ release the
song... was it made for a rat?? Whats the story behind the song?

John, this is from Moonwalk, the book, about the song Ben:

"My first real involvement with films came when I sang the title song for
the movie Ben in 1972.

Ben meant a lot to me. Nothing had ever excited me as much as going to the
studio to put my voice on film. I had a great time. Later, when the movie
came out, I'd go to the theater and wait until the end when the credits
would flash on, and it would say, "'Ben' sung by Michael Jackson." I was
really impressed by that. I loved the song and loved the story. Actually,
the story was a lot like E.T. It was about a boy who befriended a rat.
People didn't understand the boy's love for this little creature. He was
dying of some disease and his only true friend was Ben, the leader of the
rats in the city where they lived. A lot of people thought the movie was a
bit odd, but I was not one of them. The song went to number one and is still
a favorite of mine. I have always loved animals and I enjoy reading about
them and seeing movies in which they're featured."

I think the movie was a sequel to another movie and Ben was in the first
movie too.

I'm in Connecticut (USA)-though born in Minnesota (USA). My mother wants me to
move to Vegas (USA)-I say uh huh. In the future I want to be a traveling nurse
and not be limited to only one area (there I go...rambling).

My fav MJ song is, oh but of course...WILL YOU BE THERE

I could see if my record selling friend person in Indiana has another copy of it
for sale? I got 2 copies in mint condition from him a couple yrs back.1 had been
opened but no scratches or anything.everything still in the pack.so I dubbed
that onto acassette and colour photocopied the read along book to make my own
extra set and have kept the other copy, completely unopened, still in original
shrinkwrap and evrything so it's worth more but I stlil got a copy to listen
to.....but..yeah...could check with him or give you his email addy to ask him
yourself if ya like....he normally has heaps of dif MJ stuff.i've bought
hundreds of $'s worth of records from him.he's a legend!
