I had to get this off of my chest because I'm noticing more and more
negative posts about Michael:

I wish I could understand the need for people to express so much venom and
total disdain for every little thing that Michael Jackson does. I bet if he
scratches his ass, they would run a report about the "insidious nature
surrounding Michael Jackson's scratching himself" and "how he's sending an
extremely negative message to the children of America" Every time he tries
to be positive and do what God put him on this earth to do, every asshole in
the world is flaming his every move. We ARE NOT going to take the same shit
that we've been taken for so long regarding the total dismissal of Michael
Jackson. Its time to rise up and squash all this nonsense.

Haters, I wish you would ask yourselves a few questions: if the false
allegations never happened, would you still feel the same way? In other
words, if you didn't know how awful the press could rip someone apart
unfairly, would you yourself have an equal amount of venom to express? If
the press hadn't showed you that being an asshole was ok, would you still be
doing what you're doing?

And it seems like every time he's in the press for doing anything that isn't
"weird" or "jacko-esque", then you get angry and come out in force on
newsgroups and message boards showing everyone how stupid you are for
talking about all the "perverted ways jacko ___", which coincidentally tells
us more about you than it does about Michael Jackson.

Look, this isn't a game. This is serious shit. We are talking about
someone's reputation. Americans especially have a way of dismissing people
who question the status quo. When a celeb doesn't give a damn about anyone
or anything, and think that you (the public) should be happy that they even
exist, we (Americans) love them to death! Look at Madonna. That braud has
done EVERYTHING under the sun and hasn't apologized for any of it. Suddenly
she has a baby, gets married, and now she's 'Saint Madonna'. However,
someone who actually cares and hasn't done anything negative, like Michael,
gets ripped apart constantly.

There are more important things in life than convincing people that Michael
Jackson is "evil". If you want to hate something so much, hate this past
Presidential election. Hate the way George Bush became president. Hate the
fact that votes weren't counted. Hate this stupid tax cut. Hate poverty.
Hate the fact that children are losing their lives around the world. Hate
those things, but don't hate the man that gets off of his ass (unlike so
many of us) and actually DOES something about it!

(Good Lord! Is it just me?! Am I the only one that feels like this??!)

Just think of it this way: Since there is obviously alot of one-time posters
on this group that only say bad stuff about Michael (99% of which can't even
type a complete sentence that makes real sense), it must be a trendy thing to
do at this point.

Its really kinda sad to see, but you have to kinda pity those that mindlessly
rip on him. I am confident that the vast majority have no real information
about what they are talking about, other than tabloid headlines. If they did
take the time to research even a little bit, they'd find there is more proof in
Michael's favor about the molestation charges and against him.

These souls are really more like sheep than anything. They see one person do
it, they think its really cool, so they go ahead and do the same thing.

It's always right after M shows up somewhere; they like to crawl out from
under the rocks to bring up the same lame comments and get everyone riled
up.

I haven't heard anything original or funny yet.

No Kemazz, you are not the only one who feels the way you feel about
this. You've expressed my feelings & I'd be willing to bet that most of
the regulars of this board feel the exact same way. I too have noticed
the increase of negative postings here & my feeling is that when Mike's
album comes out the nonsence will only increase. I really hope that I'm
wrong about that but we'll see this summer. Michael Jackson is one of
the good guys & he should be applauded for his efforts to make the world
a better place. `Nuff said! MFL

I'd like to apologize for my response to your message, kemazz. I still
think your characterization of George Bush and his election was wrong, but I
should not have cursed the way I did. I'm sorry.

I agree with you kemazz. Let's stop and think abot how Bush weaseled his
way into the high office he's in now. I'm thinking that if thoses other
votes that weren't counted had been counted then Gore would be one there
now. Bush has already had us shooting at Hussain again. His dad was the
one who shot at Iraq when he was in office and we ended up in disaster
now a second Bush has come to making things worse.

Following the law is not weaseling one's way into office.

If some people are too stupid to follow simple instructions correctly,
then their votes should not count. This country does not need mental
delinquents electing our leaders.

What disaster? If I recall correctly, we beat Iraq like a drum. That
sounds like "victory" to me.

Wasted money, wasted time, wasted effort, generating national prejudice
against a new culture, loss of life. There is always opportunity cost after
war.

I'm happy that you all are with me!! I'm sick and tired of BEING 'sick and
tired' of people talking about Michael Jackson like he's an old piece of
shit. I'm tired of turning the other cheek and hoping that the person who is
stupid will come to their senses. I'm downright pissed off and I just wanted
to let the haters know that there won't be any of that "oh just ignore them"
or "you're entitled to your opinion" attitudes from me or other MJ fans
anymore. If your opinion is wrong, that doesn't mean that I have to accept
the fact that you have a right to contaminate other people with lies. For
example, I may be of the opinion that I am the Queen of England, but damn
it, that doesn't make it so! :-)
Stand up and be heard!

I don't think he would have the stomach for it. I don't think he's cunning(Bush sr), deceptive (Clinton), or "blind/stupid"(Bush jr) enough to be the president.
