It has come to an understanding between Michael and Paul that it's in the
past. Paul owns tons of other artist's work with pride, as well as Michael.
It was either Michael or a complete stranger, or Paul to have bid and won
it. Who would you prefer, an artist to own an artist's work, or some
corporation?

I believe Ebony and Ivory was Stevie Wonder and Paul.

its partly true, but you have to realise Paul had the opportunity to team up with
Yoko ono and buy the rights. They could agree, and so Michael was able to
out bid them. Them's the breaks..

Since then we've had a marked increase in media sources (Sure to increase if the
past is anything to go by), and they all demand ~content~. Michael's move was
possible luck or far sightedness either way that's where the future is at. The next
move might some of the content TV etc from more enlightened times. With the
technology being what it is, im sure these can be revamped or repackaged to suit
future tastes. But i digress.....

But when you think about it. Does it really matter? I don't know, if I
submitted my work for mass distribution, as long as my name is in the
credits and face on the cover I'd be happy. Owning it isn't really important
to me.

Well, don't be sorry. It's a good question. It is kind of a bad thing to do,
but nobody said the world was fair, and Michael knows that more than anyone.
