they had in recent photos, which seem to depict light-skinned children
with blonde hair and blue eyes.
The kids certainly did not look African-American, but they did look
like they had gotten an artificial tan as well as had their hair dyed
dark-brown, so they would not stick out as they stood next to members
of MJ's biological family.
They even placed the kids near light-skinned LaToya and Janet, with
the darker male family members standing farther away.
And before anyone accuses me of racism, at least one of the speakers
at the memorial talked about a world where people would not be judged
on their skin color. Dyeing white children brown so they are color-
coordinated with their adopted family sure seems racist to me.

Gee, why would anyone call someone who is obviously so obsessed with
color that he walks around with a light chart so that he can tell the
relative whiteness and darkness of a person beyond a (pardon the pun)
shadow of a doubt?
It's called a tan. Lots of people have them. I have a pretty good one
right now. I'm far darker now than I was two years ago. And the color
of my hair changes from season to season. In the winter, it tends to
be a mousy brown, but it's blonde in the middle of summer -- you know,
when we tend to spend more time in the sun?
His kids are adorable, and no matter what you think of Jackson or his
family, they are innocents, and from what I can tell, seem pretty well-
raised. And my bet is, they're far less racist than you.

I know a "mixed race" couple whose youngest child has alabaster skin,
blonde hair and blue eyes. The hair is curly, but not kinky, and if
you look closely, the nose is a little flat. But if you just saw the
kid walking down the street, you would never guess that his father is
African American.
It's fairly common knowledge that he didn't necessarily father those
children, but so what? I'm not sure why it matters. If he was a good
father, does it really matter whether or not he sired them?

I've seen a lot of pictures of the kids, and I think what you're seeing
is a combination of the lighting in the photos and the make-up that the
kids may be wearing.
In some pictures, the kids really do appear to be darker than in other
photos. I saw one photo of Paris in which she appeared to have a
markedly lighter band of skin directly above her eyebrows than on the
rest of her forehead- as if she had wiped her brow and wiped off the
make-up. In other photos, Paris and Prince's hair had brilliant golden
highlights. Blanket, OTOH, looked as if he was wearing one of Wacko's
wigs.
