United Kingdom: a nation of Jacko-philes

A survey has revealed that as far as our country goes, Michael Jackson
is our favourite artist ever, after seven of his tunes made the top ten
of the UK's all-time favourites.
Jacko's staggering haul was capped with Billie Jean taking the top spot
in Sony Ericsson's poll of British music lovers.
As if that wasn't enough, his classic Thriller was close behind in
second place. In bronze position was the usual favourite, prog classic
Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen.
And after, that barring an anthemic entry from Robbie Williams with
Angels at five, it was blanket Jacko.
Beat It punched in at four, Smooth Criminal was sixth,
We've Had Enough was at seven, eighth was Macaulay Culkin favourite
Black Or White, and You Rock My World was at nine.
The final entry in the UK's favourite ten was Guns 'n' Roses' Welcome
To The Jungle.
While we have all known for eons that Jacko, who was recently acquitted
of child sex abuse charges, is the King of Pop, none of us would have
predicted such a cleansweep of the country's musical proclivities, with
not even Oasis or The Beatles getting a shout.
The mystery deepens, when the new list is compared with CapitalFM's
annual top 500 song list. Angels and Bohemian Rhapsondy are the only
entries in both top tens, and Jacko's first - and only - entry in the
top 40 of the Capital list is Billy Jean at 14.
However, the UK poll was part of a much larger survey - 700,000 were
polled across 66 countries - to find out what is the world's
favourite song.
And it was...well, it wasn't Jacko, it was We Are The Champions by
Queen. Yes the song that can be heard reverberating through stadium PAs
across the world is apparently the best song in the world.
More shockingly, Toxic, which has surely not been around long enough to
wheedle its way into the globe's collective affection, meant that
Britney Spears was sitting pretty in second place.
Jacko, however, popped up again in third, with Billie Jean.

Queen song tops 'world best' list
We Are The Champions by Queen has been voted the world's favourite song
in a global poll of 700,000 music fans.
The 1977 single kept Toxic by Britney Spears in second place, followed
by Michael Jackson's Billie Jean.
The Queen hit topped the Sony Ericsson poll despite only reaching number
two in the UK on its original release.
"It conveys the passion music brings to our lives and proves a classic
rock song is truly timeless," said corporate vice president Dee Dutta.
Hotel California by The Eagles was ranked fourth, followed by Latin
American singer Shakira with her international hit La Tortura.
Nirvana's grunge anthem Smells Like Teen Spirit was sixth.
Any other charts I found look something like this.
There was a few I found that had (Thriller) at the top, but I don't
remember where I found them.

Just goes to show, any retard with a computer can stuff a poll. Even a
bunch of tards like the floons.
For a poll that was trying to get worldwide opinion, it wasn't very
well publicised. The floons probably heard of it through Sony because
you know they check out Sony everyday to see what conspiracy they're
using to tarnish Wacko's image. As for the rest of us, never heard of
it or saw any links. And god forbid the floons would share it with the
outside world for fear the haterz would get real music fans to get
proper songs in the top 10 not the shit that ended up polluting it.
