- staying up really really late a few nights in a row eventually starts
to get to you
- no matter how cool your computer is for music, it's not big enough /
fast enough once you start doing video
- the music matters. Moving my songs from Cubase to Logic really messed
up the sound. I need to slow down, go back and re-export the tracks. Do
I sound like Danny T here ?
now the good things
- I'm starting to think about why again. Starting to nudge awake the
part of my brain that wants to say something, create. Years of doing BEG
nearly killed that in me.
- We all put ourselves " out there " every day anyway. If it's doing
covers, you have the cover of proven material, and that's cool. If it's
doing originals, how is that any scarier ? Unless you're mega
famous/rich, behind your back lots of people are thinking " loser
musician " either way.
- my new interest in video had led to a resurrected interest in
composition. And " rolling my own " has led to me *finally* looking at
all the crap midis I've collected over the years and realizing many are
junk. Just junk sucking up hd space. I actually threw away a few gigs
of 'em wednesday night. Took a while, but after a bit I was past
deleting onesy twosey and was throwing them in the trash in big swaths.

got a completed video last night. It needs work. Some better clips, and
to clean up the tracks, correct the balance and tone issues from the
cubase move. But eh, this is fun, and I'll probably post something over
the weekend. I still have no idea what uploading to youtube will do to
the mix. Is you tube stereo ?
Finally, after what .. ten years or so ... I'm getting brave enough to
put music on the net.
