charted for a single week as the song’s flip side, briefly making it a
two-sided single.
The song ‘Danny Boy’, by Eric Clapton (based on the tune ‘Londonderry
Air’ and first charted by Conway Twitty), was later used as the theme
song to TV series ‘Make Room for Daddy’). It appears on the B-side of
his #5 hit ‘Change the World’.
The Stan Getz version of the theme song to TV series ‘Dr. Kildare’,
(and originally done by Richard Chamberlain as ‘Three Stars Will Shine
Tonight’), appears on the B-side of the #15 hit ‘Desafinado’, by Stan
Getz and Charlie Byrd.

Elvis Presley hit #69, then re-charted at #50 (credited to Elvis
Presley vs. JXL) with ‘A Little Less Conversation’. A modified
version (done by Mac Davis and Billy Strange) serves as the theme to
‘Las Vegas’.
Smart E’s had a #60 hit with ‘Sesame’s Treat’, based on the ‘Sesame
Street’ theme.
The Deadly Nightshade had a #79 hit with a ‘discofied’ version of the
‘Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman’ theme.

Appendix ‘E’ – THEME SONG ODDS & ENDS
‘Who Knew’ by Pink was used as the theme song to the TV series October
Road and was also off her album ‘I’m not dead’. The song charted
subsequent to, but not because of, its use as the October road theme.
Its chart success came during the show’s hiatus and the song was
simply chosen to be released off the album. It hit #9.
The theme from The Flintstones was later used in the 1994 Flintstones
movie, where it was sung by the B-52’s. Under the title ‘(Meet) The
Flintstones’, and credited to the
B.C. 52’s. It hit #33.
