Tomorrow is the beginning. We jump on the big silver bird in
Vancouver and off to good ol' Toronto for the week of festivities in
the old home town. It's all very exciting seeing the many familiar
faces again and meeting some new folks as well. This year we'll miss
several of our talented musical guys and gals though as they are
unable to attend but from what I hear some new ones will be joining us
so it should be a fun time for all with plenty of activity along with
the concerts. Just a note for folks coming in on flights. From the
Toronto (Pearson) Airport you can travel on public transit to most
parts of Toronto. I think the fare is $2.75. The "Airport Rocket" bus
they call it will take you to the "Kipling" subway station. From there
you will travel to the "Yonge" Street station (about 20 minutes) and
take the "Southbound" train to the "College" station. (less than 5
minutes) The Delta Chelsea Hotel is a short walk south on Yonge Street
to Gerrard St. Maps of the subway routes are posted on all subway
trains and quite easy to follow. The Toronto folks are helpful with
giving directions etc. so don't be afraid to ask. It's best if you
travel light. Cheers, Ron J.
